I heard people making money with twitter, how? I want to try this too.

I hear people a making money on Twitter.
How they do that actually?
What and how they sell to followers?

Is anyone currently making money off of twitter? I’ve been reading about 2 ways that this is possible, but how is it implemented? Please let me know how you began/your strategies. Currently I’ve began 2 twitter accounts 1 is http://www.twitter.com/celebgrapevine and my second is http://www.twitter.com/A_PassiveIncome and I’m hoping to try BOTH ways (one on each probably). I know it takes approx 4 months for the companies to recognize you, and I need a few thousand followers for it to be really worth it (or do I?) Thanks so much for all your info and help!
Hi Common Sense, actually, there is. Some companies will pay you to post their ad (PPC type thing) into your tweet, and a second way is if you have a popular enough profile, some companies will pay you money to just talk about their product. Can be 1 dollar up per tweet. A guy working in Vancouver here makes an average of 0.00 per tweet and its legal.

has anybody else tried this one out before? It’s a free trial so i figure why not but just seeing if anybody else has feed back?

Their services are free to the people. I am not a member of one of these sites yet.
If they aren’t making money, how can they afford to provide their services to millions of users worldwide? What’s the point? I don’t think someone would do that just for fun.
goldy k, how do the bigger companies lure younger generation to make money for them?

Can I post my own content on my blog, but have a dedicated stream (maybe three times per hour) or an RSS feed from various sites on my ad supported blog? Is it legal for me to do so since I am making money in the process?

From what I can see, Twitter is entirely free to use, it isn’t propped up by advertising, and there are no visible revenue generators on the site.
The site has an enormous worldwide user base, with incredibly high traffic, and all that costs money, so they must be incurring fairly large running costs.

So, how on earth do they do it?
They must be making money from somewhere, but for the life of me, I can’t see where or how.
Anybody got any suggestions?
