How many follower do you all have?

Do they just tell random people their address to their Twitter and tell them to add them?? Mine is www.twitter.com/sophieee27 If you add me then I’ll add you back and we’ll both have one more follower

do people know if your following them if there tweets arent protected / NOT private?

do they still get the little message on the right to the screen that says "NEW FOLLOWER REQUEST" or something ?

When I get a new follower, I check them out and they usually have tons of followers but have no tweets! How is that possible?

I’m a new user and the tutorial says my tweets go out to millions of twitter users but I don’t see any responses to my simple questions. What’s the problem? And the reverse how come I don’t see other people’s questions? The tutorial and other users say I don’t have to have followers or be a follower to ask and answer questions. I’M CONFUSED!!!

Okay so I know in order to remove followers on twitter you set your profile to private, then "remove follower" and then you can unfollow them. I signed out and refreshed the page but the offensive picture/link to their page still shows up in my "following" column on my profile. What do I do to get rid of it, since I am no longer following them and they are not following me?
