you you can’t sent a direct message to someone that isn’t following you, then how does celebrities sent direct messages to the fans if they aren’t following you?
i’ve gotten alot of direct messages from celebs and i keep wondering.
im definite that its the celebrity because its a vertified account the the link is found on the official sites.

Im a couple of days into twitter and i see a whole bunch of people with thousands of followers. I have no clue how they did it, because they arent even "popular" people. They are just regular everyday people like me. I mean i would understand if it was some ‘celebrity" but, no, these are virtually quote on quote unknown people. Please, is there a way i can get more twitter followers?

What I mean is….say I’m following a celebrity and they obviously aren’t following me. If I send them a message, like where you can respond to them, or send them a direct message, will they get it?

From my understanding, on Twitter, basically you let everyone know what you are doing by posting a sentence or two. Is it worth getting? Isn’t the same thing like updating your facebook status? I can understand if you are a celebrity or something and want your fans to know what you are up to, but how many people actually care about what I am doing every second?
