I have unlimited texting and internet and my phone is from Solo.
So, does recieving and sending texts to Twitter and Facebook mobile cost money?

So, I was wondering what is needed to create a social networking site like Facebook or Twitter.

For example what languages would you need:
PHP
HTML
etc…..

As well, what sort of material things. (Such as servers, etc.)

And, how easy is it to learn these languages and skills and how expensive it would be to hire people with the required skills and to buy servers and such like.

At school I wish to get onto such sights as Facebook/Twitter but the school have managed to block proxies, so is there a way to get around this? (No proxy will work)

In the newspaper, on the news, everywhere. Why is it always "Follow us on Facebook AND Twitter", but never just one or the other? Is it all just because of the hype, are they owned by the same company? I’m probably not the only one who’s noticed this but there must be some underlying factor.
My question was why do they come together, not why do they surface so much in the media. I know that.

Can I add adsense or some other CPC or ad service on my facebook or twitter accounts? The name of the website I own is Puddlebud. I have adsense on my main webpage.

I have it set up so that when I update my twitter status, the facebook status is updated as well automatically.
