I just signed up, & I love to blog! I usually include pictures in my blog too, & when I click the blog link on Twitter it takes me to blog.twitter.com which I think is their blog. How can I blog on Twitter? I was told it was the best site to have a blog on for exposure.

No, it’s for microblogging ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Micro-blogging ). There is a 140 character maximum, so the messages are always short and pointless.
I.e.
I went for a walk.
I got a cup of coffee.
I got a refill.
I went home and hugged my cat.
It’s not a blog per say. It’s just a place for short basic updates of your day/life. Not really a place to put long stories or rants.
